He joined The Miami Hurricane as a freshman, writing for the arts and entertainment section and serving on the revived podcast team, which brought back TMH's podcast, Catch Up Canes. Emil became Podcast Editor and created two more podcasts: Eye of the Hurricane and Sportscast. After nearly two years, Emil moved to the role of Copy Chief.
