On Senior Day, Destiny Harden had a double-double, her fourth of the season, and led the Miami Hurricanes to a victory over the Virginia Cavaliers, 85-74, at the Watsco Center on Sunday afternoon.

Guard Haley Cavinder broke into the 2,000-point club as she scored 16 points, including shooting 4-of-7 from beyond the arc, but this performance was not enough as the Miami Hurricanes dropped their second game in a row, losing 71-57 on the road against the Louisville Cardinals.

The Miami Hurricanes improved to 15-0 at home and rattled off their sixth straight win with strong performances from Isaiah Wong and Nijel Pack on Saturday afternoon. The two guards combined for 51 points en route to a 96-87 victory over Wake Forest at the Watsco Center.

Miami women’s basketball rebounded from a tough loss last Sunday to Duke with a great effort in Coral Gables, Florida. A double-double from forward Destiny Harden helped UM escape a late comeback attempt by the Clemson Tigers to secure a 59-54 victory Thursday night at the Watsco Center.

Over Miami men’s basketball’s past few games, Nijel Pack has been on fire. The six-foot guard has gone on ridiculous scoring streaks that have left fans’ jaws dropped, led the Hurricanes’ backcourt, and made head coach Jim Larrañaga’s aggressive pursuit of the Kansas State transfer last offseason well worth it.

Miami women’s basketball completed a comeback and staved off a comeback from the Clemson Tigers to capture a thrilling overtime victory, 69-66, at Littlejohn Coliseum in Clemson, S.C.
