More people are going to college now than ever before, a result of an increasingly competitive job market that requires at least an undergraduate degree.
Making UM more accessible is not only good for lower-income students, but it will also enrich our campus culture and lead to an enhanced learning environment for everyone.
Imagine if the Miami Hurricane staff wasn't able to freely call out our administration in editorials or if our opinion writers couldn’t voice their thoughts on controversial topics such as abortion or hazing. We can’t, and no one should have to.
