Unlike previous albums “This Old Dog” and “Salad Days,” the album is completely instrumental and DeMarco showcases his skills in composition and instrumentation in the 14-track LP. The lack of vocals on the album allows the instruments to take center stage and create a soundscape that invokes the atmosphere of road tripping through the country.
A force of raw vulnerability, "The Whale" submerges audiences in a tale of a man's struggles with grief and regret. A powerhouse cast, led by Brendan Fraser as Charlie, guides us through the deep, emotionally-charged and unfortunately, grotesque depths of this adaptation of the stage play.
With any “Knives Out” story, you can certainly expect the unexpected and “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery'' is no different. This time, Johnson takes a less rigorous approach to the classic detective story. He makes it easy for the audience to peel back the many facades, alibis and motives of our suspects.
After eight full-length long playing (LP) tracks, record-label woes and internal turmoil, Texas-bred hip-hop collective Brockhampton is officially over. In their final albums “The Family” and “TM,” Brockhampton turns inwards for a deeply introspective farewell that is a mixed bag of tragedy and healing, both in tone and production.

Brimming with beautiful music, savory food and vibrant life, the architecture courtyard was transformed into a bustling Asian night market on Friday evening for UM’s annual Lantern Festival.
The two-hour festival, which was a blend of lantern and mid-autumn festivals celebrated across Asia, was hosted by the Asian American Students Association (AASA) in collaboration with the School of Architecture (USoA) Student Council from 8 to 10 p.m. on Oct. 21.
The live-music event continues HP Concerts’ return to regular programming and will be the first homecoming performance since 2019 with 21 Savage.
As we say farewell to social distancing, HP Concerts is returning to the full concert experience. For the Flo Rida event, floor access will be reopened to students. Some lucky giveaway winners will also be able to win suite tickets.
“Blonde” at least knows what it is about — the struggle between Jeane's real self, her Monroe persona and the endless cycle of exploitation. Regretfully, her suffering is dramatized in ways that glorify her exploitation without diving into the very real complexities that go along with it. The film has an idea of what it wants to say, but is unfocused in its approach to these nuances.
A woman in distress, an unfamiliar house and a creepy basement — at first glance, it may seem like Zach Cregger’s “Barbarian” is just another horror movie that begins with a vulnerable character making a bad decision. But to think you have “Barbarian” figured out by its premise is an egregious mistake when deception is the name of the game in this wildly twisted ride.
Written and directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert — commonly known as the Daniels — Everything Everywhere All at Once is exactly as overwhelming as it sounds: filled to the absolute brim with all the weird and wild in this universe and more. It’s one of the most imaginative films in modern cinema and it was pure bliss to experience this on the big screen.
