Miami’s men’s basketball team will look to finish the 2021-22 regular season on a high note as it faces the Syracuse Orange on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York.
Ponce previously served as Appalachian State's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach from 2013-2018 and again in 2021. He was also a quarterbacks coach at Louisville from 2019-2020.
“I think that’s what you mean when you say you’re balanced. It’s not so much, ‘Hey, we’re gonna be 50/50 run,’ but we’re going to be balanced and run when we need to run, we’re going to throw when we need to throw,” Gattis said in the same 2019 interview with Jansen. “We’re going to be balanced in the number of touches that we distribute among our playmakers. Because ultimately, if we can get our best playmakers the ball, we’re going to be in a position to be successful.”
After a disappointing 2-4 start to the 2021 season, the Hurricanes have bounced back with three straight victories against conference opponents and are making a late push to win the Atlantic Coast Conference’s (ACC) Coastal division.
Over the years, the University of Miami has produced talented football players looking to take their careers to new heights in the National Football League (NFL) and represent the Hurricanes in the sport’s highest level.
