“I just felt like it was extremely lopsided in terms of who showed up and played the type of tennis we needed to play and had the type of emotions we needed to have, and those that clearly didn’t,” head coach Paige Yaroshuk-Tews said.
“Obviously, I’m happy with the outcome,” Yaroshuk-Tews said in a Miami Athletics release. “I think we played pretty good doubles at two, which we really didn’t do the last time we played this team. So, overall just happy to be advancing.”
“We set out to get a lot of competitive situations,” head coach Mario Cristobal said. “I thought we did that. We played physical in spurts, were successful in spurts on both sides of the ball and showed some inconsistencies. But, overall progress. We really feel like we have progressed and we’ve got to continue progressing from here.”

We’re in the great ACC. It’s a great conference. And so the students really got behind us very early. And that’s just grown and grown.”
