After a 5-3 loss Sunday afternoon, the No. 2 Florida Gators completed a sweep against Miami, and pushed their winning record against the Hurricanes to 30-8 in the last 38 games.

In a game that was suspended by rain and forced to play over two days, the Hurricanes were triumphant over the Rutgers Scarlett Knights behind two home runs from Adrian Del Castillo and a grand slam from Gabe Rivera.

As the Hurricanes prepare to take the field against Rutgers on Friday, it is worth taking a look at the competition the University of Miami baseball team will be facing this season.

“I only care about what we’re doing going forward," Lashlee said. "I have not and will not watch one single game from last year."

Miami (10-9, 2-7) had to survive without its leading scorers in Chris Lykes (15.7 PPG), who he sat out of the Saturday’s game with an agitated groin injury, and Kameron McGusty, who was dealing with back spasms. There absence undoubtedly played a part in Miami's 94-71 loss Saturday afternoon in the Dean Dome.
