Last season, Duke beat Miami in the Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball championship. But this season, the players certainly did not forget about the near past.
With a No. 13 ranking – its highest all season — Miami has restored its consistency and drive seen in its best start to a season since 2013, before hosting a top-15 Florida team in mid-February.

The Hurricanes (19-8, 11-5 Atlantic Coast Conference) lost their second game of the season to the Virginia Cavaliers (17-10, 11-6 ACC), breaking their three-game win streak that started after their first loss to Virginia on Feb. 5.
“If we don’t force turnovers, we’re going to struggle defensively,” Miami head coach Jim Larrañaga said. “When we are forcing turnovers, and we’re pretty darn good in the open court at converting those, that makes a huge difference.”
