Williams, who had been arrested for three counts of aggravated battery on July 22, was reinstated to Miami’s football program Thursday, according to his attorney, Michael Etienne. Legal charges that involved three counts of aggravated battery were dropped Saturday.
Sophomore midfielder Katerina Molina scored the game-winning goal in the second half, junior goalkeeper Melissa Dagenais registered two late saves and Miami outlasted Florida Atlantic, 1-0, on Sunday.

Graduate quarterback D’Eriq King will start the first game of the Hurricanes’ 2021 football season versus Alabama on Sept. 4, Miami head coach Manny Diaz announced on Friday.
“We all came back for a reason, you know we want to win,” redshirt junior safety Bubba Bolden said. “The chip will always be on our shoulder no matter what and I feel like that’s just a Miami thing.”
After leading Miami in scoring with 17.4 points per game last season, Wong, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound guard, withdrew his name from consideration for the 2021 NBA Draft.
“I learned a lot while going through the pre-draft process with NBA teams and feel the best decision for me is to return to Miami and continue to hone my skills,” McGusty said.
Though a conference championship was unattainable, the Hurricanes failed to complete a ninth-inning rally on Friday and defeat the Seminoles for the first time this season.
