Third-year linebacker Tirek Austin-Cave has entered the transfer portal. This was first reported by the Orange Bowl Boys and Caneville.

Oregon transfer Jonathan Denis commits to Miami

Jonathan Denis, a third-year freshman who did not appear in a game with the Ducks, announced his intentions to transfer to Miami in a Twitter post Saturday night. He follows offensive lineman Logan Sagapolu, who transferred from Oregon to UM in late January.

The Hurricanes were back on the Greentree Practice Fields for their 11th practice of the spring on Thursday, followed by a media availability with head coach Mario Cristobal, linebacker Corey Flagg Jr., defensive lineman Jordan Miller, wide receiver Key'Shawn Smith and offensive lineman Jalen Rivers.

Luke Chaney is a sophomore from Fort Lauderdale, Fla. studying journalism and public relations. Chaney joined The Miami Hurricane in the beginning of his freshman year as a sports reporter. His favorite memory reporting on UM Athletics has been covering Miami football spring practice. In addition to his work as Sports Editor, he also writes about the Miami Dolphins for Five Reasons Sports and works as a play-by-play broadcaster at WVUM 90.5 FM. When he's not writing about sports, Chaney loves to play basketball and hang out with friends and family.
