On Tuesday afternoon, Lantagne Welch accepted the head coaching position at UC Santa Barbara. She will replace former coach Kathy Gregory, who had coached the Gaucho’s for 38 years before retiring in January.
The Hurricanes concluded National Signing Day on Wednesday with 16 high school athletes officially accepting scholarships to attend Miami. Overall, five of those recruits came from Florida, with four of those residing in South Florida.
